100 Endemic Trees Planted at Pana-ad

Negros Occidental Governor Bong Lacson led in the planting of 100 endemic trees at the Pana-ad Park in Bacolod City, today, during the launching of the Pana-ad Greening Program, spearheaded by the Provincial Environment Management Office.

The activity aims to plant and grow high conservation tree species being an awardee of the Seal of Good Environmental Governance and Baganihan sang Dunang Manggad, and improve the landscape and carbon absorption capacity of the Pana-ad Park.

Gov. Lacson reiterated the importance of protecting the environment through different activities that conserves and protects nature.

Also present in the activity were Board Members Rita Gatuslao, Tinto Bascon, Andrew Montelibano, Pal Guanzon, Miguel Alonso, and Pocholo Yuvienco, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, PEMO Head Atty. Danilo Amisola, and Capitol department and office heads.
