Governor Bong Lacson led the inauguration of the first ever Covid-19 Testing Laboratory in the province, at the Teresita Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City, today.

The province received its certification that the Molecular Lab of TLJP is now a certified COVID-19 laboratory yesterday.

The lab is fully operational and is going to have the first week as its proficiency week, to ensure that the lab will be able to operate in its full capacity.

Gov. Lacson said that the lab will be able to test more Negrenses in a timely manner especially the returning OFWs, Locally Stranded Individuals & returning Negrenses.

Also present in the activity were Mayors Mark Golez of Silay City and Francis Frederick Palanca of Victorias City, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, Provincial Hospital Chief, Dr. Ma. Estrella Ledesma, Dr. Inesitas Palermo, and Fr. Chad Gayares, among others.
