The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, through the Negros Occidental Language and IT Center (NOLITC), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) to establish and define the framework for research and extension collaboration and linkage, as well as to strengthen relations by leveraging respective resources.
Gov. Bong Lacson and TUP President Dr. Reynaldo Ramos signed the MOU at the Negros Occidental Provincial Capitol yesterday (January 8, 2025), and witnessed by TUP Visayas Campus Director Dr. Eric Malooy and NOLITC Vocational School Administrator Dr. Ma. Cristina Orbecido.
As outlined in the MOU, the areas of cooperation include collaboration and linkages through a series of knowledge and technical transfer training sessions, seminars, workshops, and other related activities.
A more detailed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) will be executed once developments progress to the program delivery stage.
Also present at the MOU signing were TUPV Assistant Director for Academic Affairs Dr. Patrick John Delumpa, Assistant Director for Research and Extension Engr. Greg Crisostomo, Extension Services Head Engr. Jovel Young, External Affairs Head Rutchel Pabalinas, among others.*
