Gov. Bong Lacson presided over the last quarter joint PDC-PPOC-PADAC and PTF-ELCAC meeting held at Nature’s Village Resort, Talisay City.
The agenda included discussions on proposed projects, activities, plans, and services for 2025, updates on the 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance awardees, the results of the Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Audit, the Retooled Community Support Program, and the Support to Barangay Development Program.
Gov. Lacson also presented the Plaque of Recognition conferred by the Career Executive Board during the meeting.
The joint council meeting was attended by Local Chief Executives, Civil Society Organization (CSO) representatives, heads of national and provincial line agencies, police and military officials, Third District House of Congress representatives and other multi-stakeholders.
At the meeting the cities of Cadiz and Himamaylan were also commended for having their respective Comprehensive Land Use Plans (CLUPs) approved by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan this year.
A resolution commending the Balik Salig Program 3, a community-based peace project of the of the Association of Negros Producers, (ANP), Inc., in collaboration with the Province and various peace advocates, was also passed.
A resolution was likewise passed for the approval of the 2025 Peace and Order -funded Programs, Project and Activities (PAPs).
Updates on internal security, peace and order and public safety were also reported by the Philippine Army, PNP and PDEA. DILG also gave their updates on Subaybayan Projects and RCSP initiatives in the province.
They have also announced that the PGNO along with other LGUs will be awarded with the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance for passing the national validation this coming December.
A PDC Resolution was also passed endorsing to the Regional Development Council and Sangguniang Panlalawigan the proposed conduct of a feasibility study on Bacolod South Coastal Road by DPWH.*
