Barangay Health Workers from the Third District of the Province of Negros Occidental attend the First District III BHW Congress held at Carlos Hilado Memorial State University in Talisay City, today.
The activity, spearheaded by the Provincial Health Office, highlights and celebrates the invaluable contributions of Negrosanon Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) in advancing health and wellness in the province, while also supporting the full implementation of Universal Health Care.
Gov. Bong Lacson reaffirmed the Provincial Government’s commitment to public health and lauded the BHWs for their noble work.
“This event is a testament to the vital role of BHWs as the first line of defense in promoting health and well-being, serving as the bridge between healthcare services and our fellow Negrenses, especially those in remote and underserved areas,” said Gov. Lacson.*
