The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office of the British Embassy Manila (UK FCDO) to strengthen collaboration related to sustainable development and working on climate change resilience programs and projects.

Negros Occidental Gov. Bong Lacson and British Ambassador to the Philippines Laure Beaufils, representative of the UK FCDO, signed the MOU at the Governor’s Office, Provincial Capitol, recently.

The MOU provides a framework for non-exclusive cooperation and facilitates and strengthens collaboration between the parties in the areas of common interest such as food and water systems sustainable natural resources, and other high-impact adaptation investments in the province.
