Sister Luz Maria Buitrago and Sister Leslie Tiongson of the Holy Family Home Bacolod Foundation, Inc. received P2 million financial assistance from the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental in support of the foundation’s advocacy and projects.
Gov. Bong Lacson turned over the check together with Executive Assistant to the Governor and GAD Focal Point System Action Officer Marie June Castro at the Governor’s Office, yesterday (Sept. 19).
The Holy Family Home Bacolod Foundation, Inc. is a non-government organization that serves as a temporary shelter, protection, and rehabilitation center for street children, catering to abused children, duly licensed and accredited by the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental.
P1.5 million was sourced from the Gender and Development budget and P500,000 from the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) Fund.
