Governor Bong Lacson welcomed all guests and participants of the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) 10th Visayas Regional Conference, hosted by the PSME Negros Occidental Chapter at L’Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City, this morning.
This event is themed, “Mechanical Engineers Uniting for Prosperity: Empowering Global Advancement”.
Gov. Lacson said that mechanical engineers possess the essential knowledge and skills vital for humanity’s advancement, and mechanical engineering, often regarded as the backbone of innovation and progress influences all aspects of daily life from transportation and production to energy, power, consumer electronics, healthcare and medical devices, infrastructure, and construction.
The governor thanked mechanical engineers for emerging as a beacon of possibilities in an era characterized by interconnectedness and environmental responsibility.
“Mechanical engineers persevere in pushing boundaries, combining creativity with precision to build a more efficient, sustainable, and interconnected world,” he said.
Present at the event were National VP for Visayas Engr. Arculo L. Concon, PSME National Secretary Engr. Rodolfo S. Alcoriza, 10th Visayas Regional Conference Engr. Glorbybelle Y. Galinea, DILG Negros Occ. Provincial Director Teodora Sumagaysay, among others.
