Gov. Bong Lacson graced the opening ceremony of the Negros Occidental Division Athletic Meet 2024, held at Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City, yesterday (Feb 21).

In his message, the governor said that the future champions and bearers of the Philippine sports legacy reside in the young athletes entrusted to the care and development provided by the schools, the government, and the home.

“The kinesthetic genius of our athletes will not be able to reach its full potential unless we usher and guide them properly with full dedication and updated knowledge,” he said.

The sports event is themed “Batang Negrosanon, Kampeon Para sa Matatag na Nasyon”.#AbanseNegrense
