ICT SCHOLARS LAUDED FOR OUTSTANDING OUTPUTS

Gov. Bong Lacson lauded the ICT scholars of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, for developing excellent ICT outputs, as part of their school requirements at STI West Negros University in Bacolod City, this afternoon.

The scholars are grantees of the ICT Scholarship Program of the Capitol, taking up BS Information Technology; they conceptualized and developed systems showcasing their knowledge in software programming and applications.

They presented their ICT projects to Gov. Lacson and the executives of STI WNU led by its Executive Vice President, Dr. Ryan Mark Molina, and Negros Occ. Scholarship Program Head, Karen Dinsay.

Gov. Lacson said he is pleased to see the results of the scholars’ efforts, commitment, and steadfast pursuit of excellence in the field of ICT. “The outputs you presented today are more than just technology advances; they represent the impact you are capable of making on society. May you all advance to be confident individuals, responsible citizens, and effective contributors to our community, our province, and the world,” he said.

Gov. Lacson thanked the university for providing assistance and opportunities to the young learners, and assured that the Provincial Government will do its best to make sure that scholarships and other programs will be responsive to the needs of the Negrense youth.* #AbanseNegrense
