KABUHAYAN AT KAUNLARAN NG KABABAYANG KATUTUBO PROGRAM
The 4Ks National and Regional Program Management Office led by Dr. Ervannie Jay Belarmino, Program Director, and Lucia Campomanes, Assistant Program Director, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Bong Lacson at the Provincial Capitol, yesterday (March 15), together with the staff from the Negros Occidental Provincial Veterinary Office and Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.
Provincial Agriculturist, Dr. Edmundo Causing, Provincial Veterinarian, Dr. Renante Decena, Supervising Agriculturist Dr. Dina Genzola, 4Ks Provincial Coordinator Debdeb Deimos, and National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Provincial Head-Mr. Hazel Acse joined the meeting, together with Carmelita Fantilanan-Regional 4Ks Program Coordinator.
The group will have a site visitation to the selected Ancestral Domain in Region 6, which includes Tribu Ata of Cadiz, Tribu Bukidnon-Karulano of Kabankalan City, and Tribu Bukidnon-Magahat of Hinobaan.
4Ks Program is a culture-sensitive program by DA, focused on the development of ancestral lands and improving lives of its IPs through provision of various agricultural inputs, machineries, orientation and trainings, mobilization support and livelihood projects. In negros Occidental, there are 3 Certificate of Ancestral Domain Title holders that already received projects from 4Ks Program in collaboration with the OPA and concerned LGU.
The trainings include livestock production training, organic fertilizer technology training, upland farming skills training, and vegetable production training, among others.
