WATCH. PVO-NEGROS OCCIDENTAL CELEBRATES 30 YEARS
The Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) – Negros Occidental celebrated its 30th year anniversary yesterday, February 23, 2022 with the theme, “30 years of building the livestock industry sheltering every Negrense family”.
The event was held at the Capitol Social Hall in Bacolod City and was attended by PVO personnel and staff, as well as partner agencies and other guests.
Governor Lacson praised the PVO, led by Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Renante Decena, for their dedication and hard work in protecting and developing the poultry and livestock industries, assisting paravets and animal raisers, and making Negros Occidental one of the provinces in the country free of African Swine Fever (ASF).
PVO also gave awards to its partner agencies who have contributed to the success of the PVO in the interest of poultry and livestock development namely, Philippine Veterinary Medical Association WV-B, National Dairy Authority, Philippine Carabao Center, Tenshinzan Farm, Department of Agriculture – Regional Field Office VI, National Meat Inspection Service – Region VI, NAAFEEDS, Iloilo-Bacolod Association of Veterinary Sales Representatives, Alliance of Hog Raisers Association of Negros Occidental, Association of Broilers Integrators of Negros Occidental, Poultry & Livestock Association of Negros Occ., Paravet Association of Negros Occ., Negros Occ. Hog Raisers Association, UCRAIN-V, Sunstar Bacolod, Philippine Information Agency, GMA Bacolod, Digicast , Philippine Coast Guard, Negros Occ. Dr. Decena also thanked Gov. Lacson for his full support to the PVO programs and projects.
Dr. Decena was recently named as this year’s Outstanding Veterinarian in Rural and Extension Services by the Philippine Veterinary Medical Association.
