The program, which started in 2015 harmonizes the implementation of programs and policies through local and international linkages for sustainable management of coastal wetlands and enhanced productivity towards socio-economic growth.

Gov. Lacson said that he is honored to accept the Galing Pook signage at the Capitol and he is proud of the acknowledgment of good governance.

He also said that he attributes the victory to all members of NOCWAMA, local chief executives of 10-member LGUs composed of the cities of Bago, Himamaylan, and Kabankalan, and the municipalities of Pulupandan, Valladolid, Pontevedra, San Enrique, Hinigaran, Binalbagan, and Ilog, government agencies, non-government organizations, the academe, and everyone that is part of the alliance.
