WATCH: PCL – NEGROS OCCIDENTAL HOLDS YEAR-END ASSEMBLY
The Philippine Councilors League – Negros Occidental led by its president, Board Member Ryan Gamboa, held a two-day Year-end Assembly, that started today, at SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City.
The assembly is themed, “PCL Negros Occidental: Strong and Unified Leaders of Change and Progress Amidst Pandemic”.
The event was participated in by PCL officers and members from the different cities and municipalities of the province. DILG – Negros Occidental OIC Provincial Director Roselyn Quintana was the guest of honor.
The activity started with an opening program followed by talks on Understanding Issues on Good Governance, National Election Updates Amidst the Pandemic, and Tourism Resilience and Sustainability in the Post Pandemic World.
In his message, Negros Occ. Governor Bong Lacson said that the pandemic tested the courage of public officials and their commitment as servants of the people.
“More than a year and a half into the pandemic, we don’t have the luxury of giving up, for it is our solemn duty to protect our constituents in this time of crisis and to steer our province and country to recovery,” he said.
“May this year-end assembly, in the light of approaching elections inspire all of us to do more, to do better. Times may be demanding, but always remember that sincere and committed public service has its own reward,” he added.
