Fourth District LGUs that include Bago City, La Carlota City, Pulupandan, Valladolid, San Enrique, and Pontevedra, received 96 heads of breeder piglets and 36 gilt pigs, today, as part of the Provincial Animal Genetic Improvement Program.
Governor Bong Lacson led the ceremonial turn over of the livelihood project in the presence of 4th District Board Member Jose Benito Alonso, Mayors Rex Jalando-on of La Carlota City, Jilson Tubillara of San Enrique, and Jose Maria Alonso of Pontevedra, together with other local officials.
Aside from ensuring the breed quality of swine, the project also aims to augment the livelihood and local employment opportunities within the community.
The event was held at Uriarte Gymnasium, Brgy. 3, La Carlota City, spearheaded by the Provincial Veterinary Office led by Dr. Renante Decena.
