Governor Bong Lacson, Board Members Sixto Guanzon, Jose Benito Alonso and Valentino Miguel Alonso led the turn over of checks worth a total of P5.1 Million for the projects of 17 barangays from the six LGUs of the province, this morning.
The recipient barangays who received P300,000 each are Binubuhan, Abuanan, Atipuluan, Bagroy, Ilijan, Alianza, Balingasag, Caridad, and Bacong, all of Bago City; Brgys. III – Poblacion and Zamora of Pontevedra; Brgy. Ubay, Pulupandan; Brgy. Cartagena, Sipalay City; Brgys. V F Gustilo, Burgos, and Cadiz Viejo of Cadiz City; and Brgy. Pinaguinpinan of Kabankalan City.
The projects include installation of solar street lights, concreting of footwalks, purchase of barangay utility vehicles, repair and improvement of child development center, and rehabilitation of barangay hall.
The checks were received by the respective punong barangays and authorized representatives in an activity held at the Capitol grounds in Bacolod City.
Gov. Bong Lacson advised the recipients to make good use of the project; he also thanked the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members for approving the project proposals that redound to the benefit of the local communities.
