Gov.ernor Bong Lacson together with Provincial Administrator, Atty. Rayfrando Diaz led the turn over of barangay insurance benefits worth a total of P830,000 to beneficiaries from the different districts of Negros Occidental.
The activity was held at the Capitol Social Hall, earlier today. The checks were received by the families of tanods, punong barangays, kagawads, and barangay employees, insured under the provincial government’s Barangay Insurance Program for Barangay Tanods and Barangay Officials and Employees.
Gov. Lacson expressed his condolences to the families, and said he hopes it could help them ease some financial burden. The governor also advised them to continue practicing health and safety protocols in their respective communities in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic.
The said insurance program is under the Special Programs and Concerns Division headed by Engr. Jose Maria Amugod.*
