Governor Bong Lacson met with Agnes Capigon and Gretchen Iwayan of the Dept. of Labor and Employment – Negros Occidental at the Governor’s Office, today, for an update of the status of financial assistance to be provided to the displaced workers of the tourism sector.As of January 29, 2021, there are a total of 220 tourism enterprises, community-based tourism organizations, tourism group associations and tourism support services in Negros Occidental, endorsed to DOLE Region VI, with 8,688 initial individual beneficiaries. The Dept. of Tourism and Dept. of Labor earlier signed a joint Memorandum of Agreement related to the giving of cash assistance.
