Sipalay is a quiet town and obtained a
City status in 2001. Many local people here depend on
fishing for their livelihood. It is a very quiet and
unpolluted area here. It is only a short trip of 6.3
kilometers south of the city where the beautiful beach
of Punta Ballo is located.

Abounds with limestone
caves scattered around its offshore area. It is found in
the once timber town of Hinoba-an, the last town south
of Negros Occidental. A large one named Salvacion is
partly submerged in the waters, forming a natural
swimming pool protected from the sun.
