The Social Sector discusses the health,
educational, social welfare, sports and recreation, housing
and protective services concerns of the City.
The social development program of Bacolod City focuses on
the basic social services in support of the national
government's thrusts with emphasis on poverty reduction and
housing program for the squatters and homeless families.
The major goal of this sector is: Accessible, effective and
efficient social services to all Bacolenos through
government support and community participation to achieve a
better quality of life for all.
